Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation as well as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her ability was crucial in securing her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami in which she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. She was hired as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. She moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where she became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Then she became the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given greater responsibilities. She also did segments on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. Then, she became the sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She worked in the same job for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. The family moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She's younger than her sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother was remarried to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a trip Antonietta spent the time at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed an offer to work. Still a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her preferences. The campus was a dream for her. It also gave her the major that she desired. Following the completion of her high school education she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. Her professor urged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
